Family and Friends Support.Views: 263

Hi I have a few Questions for you.

After the Cancer was found and treatment was complete.
What kind of support have you received and who gave it?
How your life has changed. What you feel is important to you now.

For those that are still being treated can answer the question also.

Do you feel that”Paying It Forward” has made a difference in your life. Blog For a Cure is Paying It Forward.

Looking forward to reading your stories.

Sherri

Sherri,

I was really blessed to have a lot of family and friends. Everyone gave me tons of support. A very good friend of mine is a 20 year breast cancer survivor and the best advice I received was “let people help you”. If she had not told me to accept all the assistance, I would have tried to do everything on my own. Now, I am trying to volunteer at the hospital where I was treated to give others encouragement. I went to Gilda’s Club to meet other cancer patients and survivors. The best assistance I received were dinners around the days I had chemotherapy and surgery. It was great not to worry about feeding my family. People driving my daughter to and from school. So many small things that wer sooooo incredibly helpful. Now, I am ready to do that for others.

God Bless!

Thank you for the come back, I hope to read more stories. Sometimes we forget that we need the support after the fact. I know I do.
